“Promoting Humane Treatment of Farmed Animals”

Through mobile veterinary outreach, emergency treatment, vaccination campaigns, and community education, we act to prevent cruelty, neglect, and avoidable suffering among cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry, donkeys, and horses. We train farmers and animal owners in humane handling, proper nutrition, disease prevention, and improved housing conditions, promoting respect and responsibility toward animals. While farmed animals are part of rural livelihoods in Cameroon, OIPA Cameroon does not promote animal consumption or exploitation. Instead, we advocate for higher welfare standards, ethical treatment, and long-term systemic change that reduces suffering and advances compassion for all animals. Our mission is to build a society where animals are protected, valued beyond their economic use, and treated with humanity and respect.
